The Juni Dress Pattern
Testing Application

We are calling for pattern testers for our Juni dress pattern for women.

PATTERN INFO:

The pattern comes in a wide size range of from
Centimeters: B 75, W56, H81 - B147, W128, H153
Inches: B 29.5, W22, H31.9 - B57.9, W50.4, H60.2

Take a few basic measurements before choosing your size. We recommend choosing the size that best fits your bust, waist and hip measurements. Your specific measurements for each of these may fall into different sizes. If this is the case, you could consider grading/blending between the sizes so the garment best fits your measurements. To grade between sizes you will draw a new line between the bust, waist and hip measurements to meet the appropriate sizes.

Alternatively, if your measurements fall consistently between two sizes, use the finished garment size chart to decide how much ease you would prefer in your garment.

The Juni dress was originally made for a height of 164 cms and a C-cup bust. Consider this when making your own, extend or shorten the height as necessary and you may want to carry out a full bust adjustment if needed. We include details on how to do a FBA and if the bust is slightly larger than your measurements you probably don’t need to to SBA as it is designed to be loose fitting, however you know your body best so proceed as you deem necessary.

The Juni dress is a versatile garment that provides many sleeve and length option that offers the opportunity to sew this dress in any season. We recommend using a light-medium weight fabric such as a linen or cotton, that has some drape to it. The dress has quite a large fabric requirement so we recommend sewing a toile before cutting into your good fabric! The fabric yield, bias binding requirements and tools and supplies list are supplied below.

Our aim is to make all our patterns simple and understandable enough for even beginners to use. To do this we provide step by step instructions and try to break down the process and hold your hand through it. Due to this, the testing call is open to all levels of sewing and we greatly appreciate feedback on how well the instructions guided you.

We rate the pattern itself as an adventurous beginner pattern. It includes a bust dart, gathering around a scalloped point and bias binding which make it adventurous.

The pattern is supplied as a large format A0 PDF file, a print at home PDF and in a projector format PDF.

We have put so much time and love into this pattern in order to include all the variations that are provided the opportunity for you to create many unique Juni dresses using the same pattern.
